Annual Spelling Bee

St. James School is planning its annual spelling bee for students in grades 4-6 on Wednesday, December 13 at 10:30 a.m. in our school gym. Mrs. LaPointe has distributed the spelling lists and the rules concerning the spelling bee competition. Saint James School has had regional and state spelling bee champions in past years. We invite you to join us for the competition.

Teacher of the Year

The teacher of the year banquet was on Thursday, November 9 at the Imperial Room. It was an honor to recognize Stephanie Razska-Arsenault as our teacher of the year. As Nelson Mandela once wrote, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." We thank you and congratulate you for being an outstanding educator!

School Tiles

The school tiles are now on display in the cafeteria. Mr. Schaefer placed the 130 tiles on the cafeteria wall on November 12. If you haven’t decorated a tile yet, there is still time to purchase one. There are so many great designs, Biblical phrases, and decorations that look fantastic. The tiles will certainly be a topic for conversation.

Mrs. Markley Retires

Our school nurse, Mrs. Markley is retiring after 26 years. Denise Coffey recently wrote an article about her life and duties as a nurse in The Hartford Courant. Check out the story.
